A Sofinor Group brand
Inotech is the cooking division of the Sofinor Group, a French specialist in the design and manufacture of stainless steel equipment for the catering industry.
Being part of the group gives us:
- a shared 8,500 m² workshop in Bois-Grenier (Nord), equipped with presses, fibre lasers and welding robots to transform raw sheet metal into finished products
- a shared design office
- a shared logistics and after-sales service chain.
Being part of the Sofinor Group means our customers can be sure of a reliable and long-lasting partnership, with consistent product ranges, technical support and after-sales service available throughout the product life cycle.

Since its inception in 1960, the men and women at Sofinor have been driven by the same passion for innovation, which over time has become the very DNA of our Group.

From a family workshop to a European group
Origins
Sofinor was founded in the North of France by Jean Finot, who began manufacturing his first kitchen furniture in the family hardware store in 1961. In 1965, he created ‘La Mamette’, the first automatic calf feeder, followed by the ‘Cyclosauna’ in 1967.
Industrial establishment
The workshops were set up in Pérenchies in the 1960s, with production intended at that time for new buildings in Lille. In the 1990s, the company expanded and moved its headquarters, manufacturing unit and logistics centre to Bois-Grenier, still in the North of France.
The Group’s expertise
Over the years, Sofinor’s range of stainless steel equipment for the catering industry has expanded, with the company now manufacturing gas fryers, hot plates, bain-maries, sinks, tables, bakery trolleys and hand washbasins for professional chefs.
With the development of new brands such as Inotech and Arcania, Sofinor began diversifying in 1989.
- Professional rotisseries under the Inotech brand (a benchmark for large retailers, restaurants, caterers and mobile food vendors).
- Hospital equipment such as bed baths and bed showers under the Arcania brand, created in 1996, the only French manufacturer in this field.
- Mapal, a subsidiary acquired in 2021 specialising in stainless steel equipment and furniture for food services in retail stores (corners, stands, laboratories).

European expansion
With the acquisition of Mapal in 2021, a new production site in Poland has joined the group. A new export sales team has been created to promote the group’s brands internationally, with a target of more than 25% of turnover coming from exports.
As a result, Inotech rotisseries can now be found all over the world, in Europe (Ireland), Africa (South Africa) and the Middle East (Dubai).
